Law of Attraction vs Manifestation: What's the Difference?
Manifestation is the broader practice; the Law of Attraction is one explanation commonly used to interpret it. People can use manifestation-style exercises without accepting every Law of Attraction claim.
Manifestation
Manifestation commonly refers to focusing on a desired outcome through techniques such as visualization, affirmations, scripting, meditation or planning.
Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction is a spiritual framework proposing that a person's internal state is related to what they attract or experience externally.
Where they overlap
Both often emphasize intention, attention, emotion and repetition. Both are associated with practices such as affirmations and visualization.
Where they differ
A person may use visualization as mental rehearsal without believing thoughts exert a direct attracting force. That is why it is useful to distinguish a technique from the metaphysical explanation attached to it.
Which approach should you use?
